What’s the point?
Have a goal you’ve always wanted to reach but don’t know where to start? Want to learn a skill but are always saying later? Do you you find yourself leaving projects half finished because your motivation wandered off half way through?
Our heads and lives get messy and some times it takes a fresh set of eyes to sort it out. With a coach your not in it alone, they are there to give you the advice and accountability that can help get that fire burning and that path forward lit.
What do you do?
My job is to figure out how to get where you want to go and walk with you down the path, cheering you on and holding you to your commitment to yourself. Together we will create bite sized steps and come up with methods tailored to your specific goals, life demands, and temperament. When obstacles appear we will strategize together on how to get past them and keep you chugging on to victory.
What can’t you do?
I can’t get rid of the work or make you commit. For you to get any value out of my services you need to come to the table willing to try and willing to do things that aren’t always fun. I will always do my best to help you overcome any stumbling blocks that appear, mental or otherwise.
That being said I also cannot provide any mental health treatment or high level emotional support. Coaching, while taking ones psychology into account, is not mental health counseling and I am neither qualified nor equipped to provide aid in mental health situations. What will it costs?
Initial consultation – $0 for 15 minutes
Before you spend anything we would do a 15 minute consultation where we briefly discuss what goals you want to reach and what support you feel you need. If we both feel it to be a good match we can then move on to the actual coaching:
Type 1 – Planning and accountability – $30 per 40 minute meeting
We set out a series of sub-goals needed to reach your main goal and discuss methods to make these sub-goals easier to achieve. We then schedule check-in meetings (weekly, every-other week, monthly, etc.) where you will report on your progress towards the latest sub-goal and we can debrief on what went well, what was hard, and if anything needs to change going forward.
Type 2 – Hands-on Reminders – $50 per week
This is for the people who want a little more active structure in their coaching. While the specifics will depend on your specific needs this includes things such as daily/regular text message reminders to complete task, custom assignments to be ‘graded’ to provide extra accountability and more detailed progress tracking, in addition to a regular check-in meeting.
